Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: Research Drives Hope

Educating medical and allied providers is critical in enhancing patients’ quality of life while coping with illness. Raising awareness of ongoing research efforts links providers and patients alike to important advances in the search for more effective treatment interventions and ultimately a cure.

The June 2018 edition of Minnesota Physician includes an article on page 34 titled “Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: Research Drives Hope.”  Written by Dr. Erik Peterson, a rheumatologist at the University of Minnesota’s Division of Rheumatic and Autoimmune Diseases and investigator at the Center for Autoimmune Disease Research (CADRe), this article seeks to inform Minnesota’s physician community of the clinical features of lupus, contributing factors and ongoing research.
