We are thrilled to announce the two latest additions to our Lupus Link Minnesota Board of Directors: Tom Peterson and Gwen Stanley. Both come with a personal connection to lupus and an extensive financial background.
Peterson, who leads a large sales team and a national strategic consulting group at Element Group, brings along 25 years of experience in the financial industry. Living in Plymouth with his wife and two daughters, his introduction to lupus began when his youngest daughter was diagnosed with the disease at the age of 10. With his daughter now in high school, the family continues to be active participants in lupus fundraising efforts.
As one of the three founding members of Venture Bank, Stanley works as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of this commercial bank. Diagnosed with lupus in her early 20s, she endured a kidney transplant in the late 1990s. She’s previously served on the Board of the Cedar Riverside People’s Center as both Treasurer and Board Chair and as a volunteer judge for the Minnesota Cup. In her spare time, she enjoys bowling, gardening and watching sports.
