Tharan is responsible for overall organizational leadership and management, strategic planning, board involvement, serving as spokesperson, and strengthening relationships with existing and potential Lupus Link Minnesota constituents.
As a child and young adult, Tharan recalls the numerous doctors’ visits and hours sitting in a hospital room of a family member living with chronic health complications. Those early experiences sprouted his desire to make a difference in the nonprofit health and education sectors.
Outside of Lupus Link Minnesota, he can be found listening to a good podcast, serving as chauffeur to his three active boys, and enjoying a diet soda. Occasionally you might see him walking, and in rare instances, chasing his Australian Shepherd.
Sara is responsible for annual fundraising events, communications, and third-party fundraising, volunteer coordination and other development tasks, raising funds and awareness.
Having worked with several nonprofits in her previous job, she was introduced to the lupus cause and the people it affects. She’s inspired by those who are fighters, striving daily to live a “normal” life while battling a disease, yet wanting to fight the larger fight – helping to find a cure and raise awareness.
When not in the office, Sara’s likely pitching championship-caliber horseshoe, cooking or baking, planning events for friends and family, or sipping a fancy coffee drink.
